Marketing is a really essential part of the business. As you grow you should internalise this role, but initially you may have a part-time CMO. All too often a junior/mid-level marketing person is brought on board, and there is the expectation that they can do the CMO role.
In the early days of a business, you may not need or be able to afford a CMO, in general one only needs one 1 day/week.
Ultimately as the business grows you should have your own CMO. If you wish to promote through the ranks, then we can help with mentoring, otherwise we can help with the recruitment.
